Leather-wrapped dowels are stitched and glued, ensuring a stable and reliable “pocket” forms to help the gymnast hang on to the bar.  Gymnasts have the option of using the innovative finger locking elastic band that helps keep the fingers from slipping out of the finger holes.  The band can be easily removed and/or replaced if necessary.
